PULI KULAMBU
Pulikulambu is a traditional and popular South Indian curry, particularly in Tamil cuisine. The name literally translates to "Tamarind Curry". It is a rustic, home-style dish often made when the palate craves something sharp to cut through the blandness of plain rice. It is best known for its tangy and spicy taste, derived from a rich tamarind base balanced with jaggery and spice blend of fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, coriander, and red chili powder. It is famously versatile, featuring whatever vegetables are on hand—most commonly okra (vendakkai), eggplant (kathirikkai), or whole garlic cloves (poondu).
